Clinical Diagnosis and Decision Making (est 6 CET) - Date Passed!

Date: Sunday 9th March 2008
Venue: Govan Mbeki Building, Glasgow Caledonian University, Glasgow
Price: £150 (SCO full members £75, SCO associate members £112.50)

Clinical Diagnosis and Decision Making is an area which is often ignored in Continuing Education but is the most important skill. This is where knowledge gained from CE is put into practice. At SCO we believe that our courses should cover all areas. On this course you will gain knowledge in the lectures and apply that knowledge in a self-assessed questionaire at the end.

You will also have the invaluable opportunity to examine live patients and make clinical decisions on the conditions seen. As a result you will be able to make more effective decisions and improve management of your patients in practice.

Dr Jane Harcourt, Donald Cameron and Stephen McPherson will be leading an interactive lecture programme with self-marking sessions to aid decision making. The focus will be on Macular referrals and glaucoma decision making along with a quiz and patient sessions.

Practical Sessions: Workshops will involve a session to brush up skills equipment technique and an opportunity to examine a complex range patients with the support of the SCO educator group. The patients will be summarised by Dr Jane Harcourt.
